10 Blessings of the Kingdom

This Scriptural list will edify you.

In this series, the kingdom of God has been defined as God’s redemptive reign. We enter the kingdom—God’s realm—when we surrender to his sovereignty and power and rule and authority. The entry is described in the first three points. The kingdom realm is invisible and quiet and unobtrusive presently and on earth, but when Jesus returns, it will be visible for all to see. Heaven really will come to earth in full glory and total power.

In the last two posts we looked at how the kingdom requires its citizens to live in righteousness, and then the demand of the kingdom—a costly, radical, and eternal decision to surrender to it. But the kingdom also has blessing for us while we live down here on earth. This post looks into those blessings.

Let’s get started on the list.

Each numbered item in the list is a summary of what the referenced verses say.

Now let me move on.

Always keep one eye on your labor for the kingdom, and one eye on the eternal kingdom that will come with great power and glory. Never give up. Never stumble and fall away. Always rejoice, by the Spirit’s empowerment, when you go through tough times. Through Christ your win is guaranteed, in the end.
